The Port Harcourt refinery has commence the production of petroleum products

 The refinery in Port Harcourt has begins operations

The Port Harcourt refinery in Nigeria just commence operations in the production of petroleum products after good servicing and modernized upgrades that started in 2021 in the regime of president Mohammadu Buhari.

This was followed after an inspection of the refinery on Monday November 25, by the group chief executive officer of the Nigerian National petroleum cooperation NNPC), Mallam Mele kyari.

The port Harcourt refinery comprises of two units that can process about 210,000 barrels per day.

The refinery will produce products like diesel, petrol, liquefied petroleum gas, LPG, etc. and making energy supply and economic growth in the country.

The chief corperative communication officer of the NNPCL, Femi Soneye on his speech on Tuesday, November 26. Said that today marks a great achievement for Nigeria as the Port Harcourt refinery commence processing of crude oil. The step signifies a new era of energy independence and economy growth for Nigeria.
